Visual & Music Extravaganza

We had our first night out (after Lydia was born) yesterday after I read about the Visual & Music Extravaganza at the Fullerton Hotel last night from a friend on Facebook.

We really didn't know what to expect only that "The hotel’s iconic façade will be brought to life through the use of the latest 3D animation and projection techniques that will be showcased in Asia for the first time."

Santa Claus peeking through the windows...

Before the whole hotel looked like it was being shuffled.

Ended with greetings for the new year :)

After the show, we took a quick walk around the area.

The kids were very tired and fell asleep soon after we got back to the car.

Zoo

It was time to take another trip to the Singapore Zoo. It was probably Sonya and Clara's third trip but first for baby Lydia.

Lydia was mostly in the stroller sleeping or under the nursing cover having her milk :)

These two love going for the shows which I think are getting from bad to worse :(

Pretty Japanese lady with power arm and neck muscles carrying that Canon zoom lens all over but missed the action right above her head.

Think the guy got a big fright from the action too :)

Went on the feeding trail this time. Sonya and Clara fed the rhinos :) The rhinos had drippy wet noses!

The zookeepers fed the other more dangerous animals like cheetahs and lions while we watched. Clara asked why she can't feed the cheetahs and lions :)

Saw our friends from Lion King :)

No "boy lion" around. Only 4 girl lions :)

Scary mole rats.

We took shelter at KFC from the heavy downpour before going for the Animal and Friends Show. Sonya and Clara saw that kids who volunteer got these funky paper glasses and volunteered themselves :)

And it was hoola-hoop time :)

Next, they got to hold the hoops for the dog to jump through :)

How can they resist patting the animals?

The rain stopped and it was time to get wet. Ironic, I know :)

We had thought that the corporate card would gained us access to the Night Safari as well but we were wrong.

These two were really looking forward to the Night Safari and were pretty disappointed.

We reassured them that we will be back another night :)
