Childhood Memories

Photobucket

Found this bubble thing at one of the neighborhood store this morning. It brought back memories of playing with it when I was a kid. It smells quite strongly of glue so it is probably considered too toxic for children these days and that is why I have not seen it for a long time. Anyways, I bought a box with 32 tiny tubes inside for Sonya and Clara to try.

The bubbles didn't go very big so we thought we blow as many as possible and just make a big bunch of it.

Sonya was really careful with the bubbles whereas Clara was more interested in popping them :)

Weekly Swim

We went swimming again this afternoon and brought the camera along. I think it is a great accessory because it motivates Sonya and Clara to try out different things in the water. Watch the video above and you will see them dancing under water. It was Clara's idea, of course :)

OH NO! Has Clara caught the TPL disease? Then again, this is cute in the purest form :)

Clara's Lunar Birthday

My mummy called me and told me that it was Clara's birthday according to the Lunar calendar and it was another reason to have a mini-celebration. Clara was delighted, of course!

Photobucket

Mistook Sun Plaza for Bukit Panjang Plaza (don't ask me why) and ended up at Coffee Bean instead of Swensen's. Cake never disappoints Clara :)

Photobucket

It has always been a tradition for the birthday person to peel and eat a hard-boiled egg in my family. Supposed to dye it the shell red too but I was just too lazy :)

Made Yakiniku Onigiri and Edamame for dinner.

And for dessert, I baked brownies. Everyone got to top the brownies with ice-cream, blueberries, strawberries and not forgetting all important, sprinkles.

Jurong Bird Park

Photobucket

Took a trip to the Jurong Bird Park after casting our votes on Polling Day. Clara was excited to see the birds while Sonya was armed with her notebook to note down all the names of the birds she was to see.

Tallest manmade waterfall in the world. Nothing spectacular really :(

Wanted to let Sonya and Clara play in the huge bounce house and water play area that was there the last time we visited but alas, the whole area was cornered off to build an even bigger water play area!
