Rainy Day

It has been a long time since it rained and it poured today. It was tough picking Sonya up from preschool in the rain. I had a hard time shielding Clara from the rain. The little umbrella that I bought for her a month ago finally put to good use. Sonya was so excited to try out her umbrella in the rain that she did not cry when it was time to go home.

I started a new painting today. It is a double portrait of Sonya and Clara. Sonya already has 4 portraits and Clara has none. I thought of just painting Clara but it just felt weird to exclude Sonya. They belong together. I got 2 separate photographs of them and composed them into a single painting. I have not painted for months so I am probably a little rusty. Hope it will turn out nice :)
