Museum of Science

Finally remembered to get the pass from the Cambridge Public Library to go to the Museum of Science. It has been almost 4 years I think since we last went there.

Spring is definitely here. Flowers are blooming everywhere!

Clara was initially really scared of the bear but slowly warmed up :)

Sonya and Clara are always enthusiastic about buttons and earphones at museums.

My kids are growing antlers!

Clara seemed so small compared to the cross-section of a sequoia tree. I cannot imagine how big and tall the actual trees are! Time to plan that road trip to Sequoia and Kinds Canyon National Park this summer :)

I think this must be Clara's favorite in the museum. So many drawers to open and close!

"Dig a dig a dig a dig a dinosaur... You find a dinosaur and you dig some more..." This is the lyrics to a dinosaur digging song that Sonya learnt from preschool.

"Tiny dinosaur!" says Clara.

Looking at the size of the T-Rex's foot, Clara would have been squashed pretty easily.

We bought tickets to the Mugar Omni Theatre to watch Roving Mars. To re-enter the exhibition halls again after the show, we needed to get our hands stamped first. The automatic hand stamper was very interesting.

It was Sonya and Clara's first time watching any movie at a theatre. They were pretty enthusiastic initially but I think the film was a little too long and the content too complex for them. Clara exclaimed really loudly, "All done?" after the usual sound test before the movie actually started. The rockets blasting off was also too loud for them. Clara was really scared and cried.

We didn't have time to explore the Discovery Center the last time we were at MOS so it was something new and fun for Sonya and Clara.

Bear bear "bao" (means carry in chinese)!

See Clara's cartoon trait coming out again. We thought that only cartoon characters throw things that they don't want over their shoulders until Clara was born :)

Clara getting her hair blown dry with the "super hair dryer" :)

Clara getting really affectionate with the bear now :)

Justin was amazed by this solar powered floating revolving planet earth. It cost $249.99! I asked who would ever buy it and he said he would. No, he didn't :)

Clara was really tired by then. I got her to sleep in my arms while Justin brought Sonya to explore some more before the Electric Show in an hour's time.

They saw the fog tornado and Sonya played some computer games.

The last stop was the frog exhibits. I really liked this section. I have never seen so many different varieties of frogs before :)

I would definitely bring the kids there again soon.
