Morning Routine

Since school started again last week, mornings had been rather frustrating. It was a real pain to get Clara to wash up. It took a long time to get her into the bathroom and then even longer to get her to start brushing her teeth (she gets distracted by the water in the cup, the hand towel, the mirror, everything!). Sonya wanted to do drawing, knitting, everything else except to get her stuff ready for school. So, I came up with a morning routine checklist hoping that our mornings would get more organized from now on.

After Sonya and Clara complete doing or getting each item on the list, they get to put up a button with their photo.

Did it work this morning? Sonya was super excited and we weren't fast enough getting breakfast ready for her. Clara had a slow start but quickly caught up. After breakfast, both got everything ready in super fast timing! It is not everyday that Clara has her helmet on ready to go before I was ready! Let's hope they keep it up for a while :)
