The Graduation at Haggerty Preschool this year was held last friday, 4 June 2010. The teachers got the children to make their own tie-dye shirts, invitation cards, banner and prepared 3 songs for the parents.
As I had expected, Clara had "stage fright" or whatever it was. She didn't cry like she did during the gymnastics showcase but she was all grouchy throughout the performance. She finally did move her lips a little at the last song, Mr Golden Sun. When I asked her about it later, she said she didn't like ABC song and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star :) She loves these songs and sings all the time! She can even sing the chinese version of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.
She was suddenly energized when Erin called out her name to get her "preschool diploma" and a little folder containing her artworks. Diploma at 3 years old. Not bad, right? hahaha...
To show our appreciation to the teachers, I made a collage of all the kids' photos that I took a few weeks ago and all the parents chipped in to get it printed and framed for the teachers :)
The morning ended with a potluck brunch.
