We were all up really early on our third morning in Tokyo and Justin suggested that we might as well go to the Tsujiki Fish Market, which is the largest fish market in the world handling more than 2000 tons of seafoods everyday. We washed up and got there at about 6am.

The place is also famous for the auction of fresh tuna every morning around 5.30am - 6.30am.

The whole place was very busy. I read from the internet that this was actually the busiest time of the year for them and thus we were not allowed to actually go into the building to watch the tuna auction.

The tuna were at least as big if not bigger than Sonya!

Just next to the auction area was a huge market where there were stalls selling all kinds of seafoods.

Beyond the market were rows of sushi restaurants and other shops selling cooking utensils, clothing, books, etc.

The sushi restaurants here are famous for their excellent sashimi and sushi. We definitely need to try some. But there is one big problem. We have not much cash left :(

We went around restaurants to restaurants asking if they accept credit cards and was turned away many times. We were all ready to give up and was walking out when Justin spotted another restaurant and suggested we gave it one last try. I was expecting the lady to said cash only but she said yes to credit card but the adults must order a sushi set each. Good enough for us!

We sat at the table and ordered. We chose the sushi sets which had the Tamagoyaki, Japanese egg rolls, which Sonya and Clara really like and what we thought were some grilled fish.

When the dishes came, we found out that the grilled fish was just charred on the surface to give a smoky flavor but the fish is still very raw which meant not for Sonya and Clara.

The good thing was that one of the set did include a separate grilled fish that they could eat. They enjoyed the tamagoyaki as expected and we ordered additional for them.

After the super yummy sushi breakfast, the sun is up.

We were off to Disneyland for the rest of the day :)
