Recipe for Lemonade

It is December and not exactly lemonade season but Sonya and Clara have been watching this video on YouTube called "The Duck Song". It features a duck who kept annoying the man running a lemonade stand by asking for grape. They love it so much I thought I buy some lemons and made lemonade with them.

Here is the recipe for lemonade:

Ingredients
2 cups of sugar
1 cup of hot water
8 lemons
Additional cold water

Cut the lemons in half and squeeze out the juice. It is fine to do it with your mouth full of food as Sonya demonstrated.

Dissolve the sugar in the hot water in a pitcher. Use a one-gallon pitcher if you have one. We only have a half gallon one so we half the recipe.

Stir until all the sugar has dissolved.

Add in the freshly squeezed lemon juice. Add enough cold water to make a gallon of lemonade.

Add ice if desired and if you have a little girl who just woke up from her nap right after you finished making the lemonade, let her stir the ice around a little to make her smile :)

Then waddle away... till the very next day...
