Beautiful weather today and we kicked off with some "biking" at the huge open carpark across the railway track from where we live. Inspired by her friends who have already taken off the training wheels from their bikes, Sonya is determined to do the same.

We borrowed a balance bike from her friend, Lea, and Sonya has been using it to get her balance right. She really enjoys the balance bike and is getting more and more comfortable with it.

As for Clara, she is still getting used to cycling. She cycles backwards more than she does forwards :)

To spice up the practice, Sonya usually "chases" Justin or myself around the carpark with her bike. It is a really nice place to let kids learn cycling.

After cycling, it was time for Sonya to go ballet. Her regular teacher was not around and the class got to join the Pre-Ballet class for lesson today. The focus at this class was more on technique but she enjoyed herself.

Actually, I asked her which class would she prefer and as expected, she said the Pre-Ballet Class because she liked the ballet costume that the teacher was wearing :)

As for Clara, as she waited outside the class for Sonya, she suddenly got up on her feet and started doing her own ballet by putting her hands on her tummy :)

I feel bad for herself sometimes, having to just sit and watch her sister do ballet. I think I will sign her up for the Music and Movement for Toddlers class at Longy School of Music next semester since she is showing so much interest in music.

After lunch at Royal East where Sonya has her usual "crunchy noodles" almost every week after ballet class, it was time to head home for Clara's nap. Meanwhile, Sonya had some individual mummy time where we did some art and craft before I let her use a real sharp knife for the first time to cut up some ham and mushroom for dinner. She then helped sprinkle the ham, mushroom and cheese for a homemade pizza.

She was really proud of herself today :) And me too of course!
