Located within the City Museum but separate from it (you need to pay a separate admission fee) was the World Aquarium. I had read in brochures that it houses quite a lot of interesting creatures and they were right, although it didn't seem like it when you first walk through the door :)

The best part was that they actually allow you to touch and feel some of these creatures!

Here are the giant puffer fish that we had seen from the outside.

They create different viewing options for the visitors. You can choose to climb up the stairs to view the giant tanks from above or crawl into little area and watch the creatures swim by.

These giant tortises were another one of the creatures that we could pat :)

The best part had to be the stingrays! We waited by the edge of the giant tank and they actually swim and prop their heads up by the sides of the tank. We just put our hands into the water and pat the stingray on their backs :)

Sonya didn't want to try it but I held Clara's hand and she pat one :)

There were also lots of lizards exhibits.

There was even a pair of American alligators. Clara was very scared.

There was another baby one in the glass tank looking scarily at us :)

There was also a hairy sloth that Clara didn't like too :)

More turtles lamp-bathing...

There was also a transparent tunnel through the giant tank where they house the sharks and giant sea turtle. Sonya and Clara had a lot of fun crawling through it.
