The weather was so good today that we just had to go outdoors. We were initially only going for a walk along the Charles River but I remembered reading the post on my friend's blog about a great sledding place called Skyline Park. There is not much snow left for sledding but she mentioned that it has a great view of the Boston skyline so I guessed that it might still be a great place to visit. And she was right! This park has the most awesome playground with the most awesome slide!

Climb up the long flight of stairs and come down super fast on the twin slides.

Clara did the stairs climbing herself but Justin said her pace got slower and slower after a few rounds :)

The view was beautiful at the top of the hill. I had been driving along Route 2 a few times before and there was section where you just get a breathtaking panaromic view of the Boston skyline. I had told myself that one day I should get my camera ready and take a photo of that view the next time I am along that stretch. At the Skyline Park, I got a very similar view. Moreover, I could take the photo in a much safer way.

Sonya was not very happy when we said we should explore the top of the hill a little and take some photos. She was only interested in the giant slide and the playground at the bottom of the slide. She tried to hide behind Justin when we tried to take a group photo. They ended up playing "catching" for a while.

In the end, we used reverse psychology and asked her to go away and we were just going to take the photo without her. It worked and she stopped hiding :)

When it was time to get down from the top of the hill, the girls just could not resist going on the slides again.

The girls played in the playground after we got them away from the slides. It was still tons of fun for them.

In case you are wondering why Clara's jacket is so big. It is because it was warmer than we had expected and we shared Sonya's jacket between the two of them. The jacket comes in two layers. When the weather is cold, you wear them together but when it is warmer, the inside layer (the one Clara was wearing) can be removed.

Although we were there for only an hour or so, it was one of the best fun we have had at a playground for a long long time. It is forecasted to be even warmer tomorrow. I just hope the warmer temperature is here to stay and we can finally say goodbye to the frigid temperature that we had this winter.
