Sonya and Clara have been doing gymnastics at the Gymnastics Academy of Boston since Jan 26 this year and they are both loving it! It is the Mini-Olympics week this week where the older students show off a routine that they have learnt in the previous weeks.
Sonya's friend, Natalia, is also in the same class.
Clara's class is on friday mornings while Sonya is in preschool. On Thursday afternoons she can only watch and wait impatiently for Sonya.
There was some time before the class started so Sonya and Clara played in the small kids' area while they waited.
Clara tried all the usual activities that she would do in her class.
Finally, it was time for the Mini-Olympics.
All the gymnasts had been practising upstairs while the parents/spectators waited in their seats.
First it was warm-up time.
Then, the kids showed off their routines.
After which, they went on the trampoline.
Next was the balance beam.
Before the class ended, each gymnast got called on "stage" to receive their ribbon.
