Two of Sonya's ballet lessons during the winter were canceled due to snow storms. I scheduled a make-up lesson for her last Sunday. As the only other class available for the same teacher is the lesson at 10.30am before her regular one at 11.15am, she had 2 lessons in a row that day. I had thought that since she loves ballet so much it was no big deal but I was wrong. After the first class, she was all ready to go off. She was quite reluctant to go for the second class but after much coaxing, she did.
I was also mentally preparing myself for Clara's meltdowns. She is usually quite bored and impatient whenever we have to wait outside the studio while Sonya does her ballet. I brought puzzles and books and thankfully, Clara was not too much of a problem even though we waited for one and half hours instead of the usual 45 minutes.
The first part of the video below shows Sonya doing the cowgirl impression. The second part is where the teacher placed 5 bean bags on the floor and an action is associated with each bean bag. The children had to remember what to do for each bean bag and I was impressed that Sonya remembered everything while most of the other children didn't.

The teacher brought costumes to transform the children into garden fairies :)

Although we can still schedule for another make-up class, we have decided that we won't since Sonya doesn't like to have double lessons.
