Cancun: Last Day

We started off our last day at Cancun with breakfast with Justin before he had to go for the Conference again.

As we have yet to pack our luggage for check-out at 12 noon, I let Sonya and Clara "swim" in the jacuzzi instead of the hotel pool. Also, it was a little chilly outside that morning.

Soon it was time to check out of the room. We just had to take one last look of the surrounding before we left.

Clara even said "bye-bye"!

At check-out, Sonya and Clara each got an apple from the counter to munch on. Initially I thought they would just share an apple but Clara just would not let Sonya have any of hers!

We went to another Mexican restaurant outside the hotel for lunch with Justin but he had to leave earlier to attend one more lecture before we leave for the airport.

We ordered mixed grill and it was delicious.

I managed to get the girls to wear the hats and the waiter took the photo for us :)

While we waited for Justin to come out from the lecture, we went around the hotel to take more photos. They have been assembling this gigantic Christmas tree since we arrived and it was still not finished when we left!

When we got to the airport, we realized that our plane had been delayed. Sonya and Clara got to explore the departure lounge :)

There was a Forest Gump themed restaurant called Bubba Gump. They had Forest's famous shoes and his suit on display. We had Sonya Gump and Clara Gump :)

As the sun began to set, it was also almost time for us to board the plane.

Overall, it was a really nice trip and a great escape from the cold in New England. Sonya and Clara had a great time and Sonya was very sad to leave. Justin went to a great beach resort without going to the beach. I wish he had more time to spend with us over there...
