Arches National Park, Utah to Canyonlands National Park, UtahCanyonlands National Park, as you can see from the map above, is just next to Arches National Park but it still takes about an hour to drive from the entrance of Arches National Park to the entrance of the Island in the Sky section of the Canyonlands National Park. The Canyonlands National Park is divided into 4 main sections - Island in the Sky, The Maze, The Needles and The Rivers (Green River & Colorado River). Island in the Sky is the most accessible section. The others required a 4-wheel drive vehicle to move around. Island in The Sky is the only section we visited since we only had a Chrysler Town and Country and two young children in the backseats :)

As we drove away from Canyonlands National Park, the sky got a little overcast along the way to Bryce Canyon. Thunderstorms were common in the afternoons but we were very lucky not to encounter any heavy rain throughout the whole of our road trip.
Awesome pics! My wife and I were there June of 2007 and were taken aback by the sheer grandeur. I look forward to hiking it with the kids when they arrive.
