Water Country

Last Saturday, we went on a trip, organized by Eastgate, to Water Country in New Hampshire. It is nice to have both Sonya and Clara old enough to enjoy a lot of the rides.

Our first stop was the Pirates Lagoon. The water was so cold. Both Sonya and Clara were shivering after a while.

We decided to move on to the Tahiti Tree House with the big bucket that topples over when full, spilling water everywhere. Sonya and Clara both got dumped on the moment they went up. Sonya was fine but Clara was so scared she cried :)

I pointed out to Sonya that the bucket took time to fill so if she goes on the structure right after the water was dumped and slide down before the bucket filled up again, she wouldn't get splashed. She got the idea and had a great time.

As for Clara, I climbed up with her but she refused to go down the slide on her own (adults not allowed on these slides) and we both got splashed because we stayed up there too long. Of course, she cried and cried. The bucket is now referred to as "the naughty man man" :)

We went back to the Pirates Lagoon and swam in the deeper end for a while.

Got a shot of Sonya underwater. In case you are wondering, all these photos were taken with a disposable water proof camera.

It was just too cold so I dressed them up in their "towel dresses" and walked around the park while having a snack to warm up a little.

We found the Giant Wave Pool and decided to try it.

Sonya loved the waves and had so much fun! All the swimming lessons the past 4 weeks have really paid off :)

Clara liked it when there was no wave :)

Sonya and Clara took turns taking photos :)

The finale was the Adventure River where we got on huge floats and float along the river which ran through caves and water falls.
