Read on Facebook that there was going to be a gathering at Hopkinton State Park for Singaporeans and Malaysians in the New England area. We have never been there before so I thought I'll bring Sonya and Clara. There was a beach area for swimming with lifeguards on duty. Sonya and Clara had so much fun playing with the sand and in the water.

Sonya spotted something in the water. It was a tadpole!

First, I scooped it into a small red cup.

Then I asked Sonya to wash a bigger bucket to put the tadpole in.

Clara really wanted to touch and feel the tadpole.

Then we decided that we should put it back into the pond but outside of the swimming area in case someone steps on it.

Sonya and Clara releasing it back into the water.

Then Clara decided to cover it with the red cup again.

Sonya removed the cup and now Clara tried to catch it with her fingers.

I showed them how to scoop it with their hands.

Sonya got it...

Clara almost killed it... just joking :)

Back to the swimming area, Clara armed herself with another cup and looked like she was ready to scoop something else.

Just water :)

A flock of geese took off in the background.

Sonya and Clara decided to make a sand tadpole. They got the head but it never got a tail :)

We cleaned up and joined our friends at the picnic area. Sonya and Clara were very happy to see their friends, Leilani and Alana, again!

Back to the beach after having some lunch.

Clara just dunked her head into the water :)

Having a mud bath :)

We had a great time! The weather was perfect. To top it off, we stopped by Cold Stone Creamery after that for some ice-cream.
