Canobie Lake Park

After Water Country, I decided to bring Sonya and Clara on my own to Canobie Lake Park in Salem, New Hampshire last friday. I thought friday would be less crowded but it was crowded! I wonder how the weekends are like!

Our first stop was the Giant Sky Wheel.

From high up, we saw our car in the parking lot :)

Next was the Log Flume where you sit in hollow out logs and travels down the river and along the way, slide down at high speed and splashing water all over.

Well, I didn't mention to Sonya and Clara that the ride could be a little scary because I didn't want to get them scared even before they try it. They saw the logs coming down, making huge splashes and they never mentioned that it looked scary and were both eager to give it a try :)

Photobucket

Well, here's their reaction :) Priceless!

Photobucket

They did find it a little scary but not to the point that they cry, just no "again, again!"

Photobucket

After that we stuck to the "safer" rides :) Kiddie versions of all the thrilling rides!

Sonya and Clara were so happy and excited to find a blown up version of the fishing game we have at home :)

It was getting hot and so ice-cream time again.

This Over the Rainbow ride was something like those spinning teacups in Disneyland but up in the air. I got pretty dizzy looking through the viewfinder trying to take photos.

The bumper cars was their favorite. We went two rounds!

For the first time, I got to sit in the back passenger seat while Sonya drove :)

Sonya and Clara were getting hungry so we got some food and enjoyed an animal show.

When the presenter said that the kids could pet the snake, Clara just went for it!

It was getting late and as we head towards the main entrance to go home, we passed by the Magic Cups and they insisted we do one last ride.

Then, we saw the Carousel and it was again another one last ride.

We had so much fun and wished there was more time to play. There were many other rides where I couldn't take photos. One of them was the highly recommended Dragon Coaster. I told Clara that she could scream while on the coaster. The moment she sat in it, she asked me if it was time to start screaming :)
