Freezing Rain

This is the third year that we have been in Boston but I think this is the first time that we have experienced what they called "freezing rain". The temperature went below freezing and for some reason, it was raining instead of snowing so there was freezing rain. It went on for the whole of last night. When we woke up this morning, everything was just covered with a layer of ice! It felt like the whole place turned into a skating rink! It was very slippery. Take a look at the car. The windscreen and the windows were all covered with a thin layer of ice. When you look from inside the car, it was like looking through frosted glass.
