We saw the Kodak Theatre where many of the big events like the American Idols Finals were held.
We actually managed to find a parking spot by the side of the road and not had to pay the ridiculous fee in private parking spaces.
Near the Kodak Theatre, there were also many people dressed in cartoon and movie characters. I saw Minnie Mouse and told Sonya who immediately ran to see. It was only then that we realised that these people are dressed up to take photos with tourists in exchange for money. This Minnie Mouse was pretty dirty and ugly too. There were Captain American, Batman, Spiderman, Elvis, etc...
We later drove up to Griffith Park. There is the famous Griffith Observatory at the summit. From there, we could also see the famous Hollywood sign. It was pretty foggy that day.
Sonya was up to mischief once again and kept shutting her eyes whenever we wanted to take photos.
Then she decided that the sun was very bright and wanted to help shield her daddy's eyes.
It was hard to take photos of her. I tried to get in front of her but she always realised what I was trying to do and ran after me!
This is the sun dial which was pretty accurate actually!
Sonya loves buttons. She went around pressing whatever buttons she could reach.
This is at the top of the observatory. You can see how foggy it was. The room where the telescope is only open after dark so we didn't actually get to see it in action. Pity :(
This is a full size statue of Einstein - Justin's idol.
Our flight back to Boston was at 10.50pm so we decided to drove to Long Beach before heading to the airport.
There were so many seagulls it was mighty scary for me!!!
And there is this bird with the orange beak. Anyone know what bird it is?
