Easter Weekend

Easter has always been lots of fun when we were overseas. There were always eggs to dye and decorate and even more chocolate-filled eggs to hunt (Thanks to our wonderful friends and the Westgate Executive Committee).

The white eggs I found at the local supermarket were not very white and clean and so I didn't bother to get them for Sonya and Clara to dye. But I did bake some bunny cookies.

Sonya and Clara had a lot of fun baking and decorating the cookies.

We packed up the cookies together with a simple picnic lunch and headed off to Kent Ridge Park after that to try the canopy walk again.

We brought along an umbrella just in case but the weather was perfect. It was cloudy but no rain :)

We reached Hort Park in no time and as we were unpacking for lunch, I realized that a bird was building a nest right next to the shelter!

I could stay there all day just watching and photographing the bird but it was time to continue our walk to Telok Blangah Hill.

This must be the cutest pose they came up with themselves so far!

2 years ago, Clara was so terrified of height that she didn't dare to walk on this elevated walkway at all. Now, she even volunteered to hold my hand should I be scared :)

Found rubber seeds along the way and Justin told them of how he used to rub the seeds on the ground till the seeds got really hot. My daddy used to tell me the same story too :)

I asked them if the trees in the distant looked like a bird in flight. Sonya asked me to take a photo of them with it.

Photobucket

Spotted a squirrel having a snack among the trees :)

Time for a water break.

Spotted these orange-like fruits. They can't be oranges, right?

Finally reached Telok Blangah Hill and time for another snack while Justin went looking for water.

Took a cab back to Kent Ridge Park to retrieve our car and then headed off to Labrador Park to take a quick look but ended up playing with bubbles there for quite a while.
