We simply cannot let spring pass us without a visit to the Boston Public Gardens to have a look at all the beautiful flowers in bloom.

The flowers did catch Sonya and Clara's attention but they were more interested in the swan boats. Justin brought them for a ride while I stayed on the ground to snap some photos.

We can never take our eyes off Clara :(

Off they went!

Round the little island and back again...

This old man was playing beautiful melodies on the bridge. He told me the name of the instrument but I forgot what it is called now :(

Swan boats done and now we can get back to the flowers.

I put the flower in Sonya's hair and she immediately strike this pose for me :)

As for Clara, it took many tries before I got this photo. Every time I placed the flower on her head, she shook it off. She told me she wanted to be "Ni Hao, Kailan" who always has two red flowers in her hair but we had such hard time keeping one flower, I didn't bother with two :)

Another must see at the Public Gardens is the ducklings.

We were making our way towards Chinatown for lunch when we spotted this unusual tree with all its branches pointing downwards. Clara called it "a cage".

We crossed the street to Boston Common and Justin suggested we take a photo with the policeman on the horse but Sonya and Clara were so afraid of the horse. Clara ran to me.

More trees completely filled with beautiful pink flowers.

Clara saw this tree stump and said she wanted to stand on top of it and stand like a statue :)

Yummy dim sum is always worth the walk from the Common :)

Sonya decided to chase pigeons after lunch while Clara preferred to dance to the Greek music playing in the background.

We brought Sonya back to the spot where she spied on a couple when she was about 2 years old. We still have the video :)

The carousel was another reason why we went to the Common. Sonya chose the cat with a fish in its mouth while Clara insisted on the pig because she was born in the year of the pig :)

Boston Common will be sorely missed when we move back to Singapore...
