It was a day out to the zoo yesterday and the Singapore Zoological Gardens always lived up to expectations!

Sonya and Clara loved all the animal shows and was even more delighted to be able to feed the elephants.

Silly Clara insisted on showing the zoo map to one of the animals. I wonder why... maybe to help it escape? haha...

Got up close and personal with the snake :)

After lunch, it was time for the elephant ride.

Is the leopard coming over?

Sonya and Clara's impression of the snake.

Ride on the giant tortoise.

Got to pat the dogs from yet another show.

The only disappointing thing was that the water play area was closed for cleaning. But we did find some other interesting things to play.

Sonya and Justin tried using their arm power to get the raft across the water.

Needless to say, Clara had to have a go too even though this was designed for 6 years old and up.

Last but not least... the pony ride.

And then last show for the day... Splash Safari.

Sonya wanted to sit in the splash zone. I will stay in the dry zone with my camera :)

Not too long after the show started, the splashing began, courtesy from the sea lion :)

Sonya moved over to sit with me in the dry zone soon after while Clara and Justin braved more splashing.

Here comes Clara with the front of her dress totally wet :)

People lined up for more splashing after the show ended.

This little girl had enough splashing for the day :)

Ended the day with a good view of the baboons' bottoms.

We need to try the Night Safari one of these days.
