Kitchen DIY

In my continuing attempt to get Sonya to eat more vegetables, I decided to try this recipe for chicken pot pie where everyone gets to pick what goes into your own individual pie. I prepared some chicken pieces, corn, broccoli and mushroom. Sonya was given the task of not only deciding what goes into her own bowl but also Justin and my bowls. Unfortunately, even though she proclaimed that she likes vegetables, she didn't eat the many broccoli and corn that she put into her bowl. Sigh...

Clara loves picking up cheerios and the Gerber banana puffs and places them into her mouth herself but she is still working on her pincer grasp. There are hilarious moments as well, like the one below where one of the banana puffs got stuck to her upper lip and she just can't get it into her mouth :) By the way, she is sprouting 4 upper teeth I think. Finally!

Justin suggested we have some roti prata fun on Sunday. Here are our creations. The 2 rounds ones at the top are mine and the 2 rectangular ones at the bottom are Justin's. Sonya called them "Daddy's broken roti prata" hahahaha... I think we will just buy the frozen ones from Super88 from now on until we can have the real stuff in Singapore :)
