Nose Digging

Been busy the past few days trying to design a photo book for Sonya's preschool's trip to Honey Pot Hill Orchards. Tried Mypublisher but I cannot upload my photos there because I am using the MIT network. Tried iPhoto but somehow I cannot use my existing account. Had to create a new account with my MIT email before I could do anything. Then I found Viovio which also produces photo book and at a cheaper price. Best of all, they allow printing from pdf files and ftp! But the network is pretty slow. It is going to take me at least 6 hours to get a 40MB file up to their server :(

This morning, we wanted to go for a walk in the park again but it started drizzling when we were ready to go. We couldn't cancel the trip since we told Sonya we were going out so we decided to take a drive instead. I told Justin that the view from Route 2 somewhere around Waltham towards Cambridge is spectacular. It is almost like a panoramic view of Boston from the green metal bridge at Route 1 all the way to Prudential Tower. We drove to the Minuteman Historic Reservation and saw where the MIT Lincoln Laboratory is. Then suddenly, Sonya said she needed to "da bian" and the next thing we knew, she puked big time all over herself. We had to stop by the road and try to clean her up. I think she couldn't understand what just happened to herself and also the mess that she had made so she was crying and screaming pretty badly. I thought we were just going for a short drive/walk and so didn't bring a change of clothes for her. I had my sweater with me and so I change into my sweater and gave her my t-shirt. She looked pretty cute in an oversized t-shirt.

The car smell very bad and I too felt like puking but didn't. There was a lot of cleaning up to do after we got back. This reminded me of the time when we first came to MIT and our neighbor offered to bring us to the supermarket to shop for groceries. Sonya refused to sit in the carseat and cried and cried until she puked big time onto herself as well. I took her out of the car, carried her and walked all the way home. She was 9 months old then.

Yesterday, I got Justin to take out the luggages we stored in the Westgate basement. I sorted through the clothing and took out my pre-pregnancy clothes to wear again. I also took out some of Sonya's old clothing for Clara and found the Japanese shirt and shorts that Natalie sent for Sonya's 1 month old celebration. Justin's parents bought an exact set but in a larger size when they went to Japan for vacation.

See how Clara is looking at Sonya digging her nose? Sonya keep digging her nose. She has had 2 nose bleeds in the past 3 months and it might be due to her nose digging.

Justin is off to El Toro, CA tomorrow morning until 23 October. I will be on my own with Sonya and Clara. I hope they will both behave so that I will have an easier time. Whenever I feel stressed, I shall tell myself that after the 2 weeks, we are all going to Victorville, CA for the DARPA Grand Challenge and on my birthday, we are going to Disneyland :)

It is Columbus Day tomorrow and Sonya does not have preschool so I will be sending Justin and his colleague, Yoshi, to the airport in the morning. Maybe I will bring the kids to Chuck E Cheese's at Everett on the way back if it is open.
